Original acrylic on canvas by David Page.
One of fourteen paintings from David's exhibition - Shoreward Mull.
Craignure, with its singular row of buildings hugging the bay and its weathered pier at its heart, serves as the gateway to the Isle of Mull, often overshadowed by the fame of Tobermory. The task at hand was to encapsulate the bustling essence of this ‘frontier town’ as the island ferry deftly docks, manoeuvring alongside the pier before executing a graceful rotation to settle into an unloading position. This painting, employing a collage of acrylic overlays seeks to capture the dynamic dance of boat and pier.
Each painting in the SHOREWARD Mull exhibition is accompanied by a limited edition, large-format book, featuring the full collection and David's insightful personal notes.
