This painting is one of David's new collection - The Last Munro.

As you ascend, the perception of the mountain shifts — what once seemed rough and solid below and soft and smoothed at the summit is seen in reverse. The exposed summit surfaces become unyielding, hardly softened by the ground-hugging mosses and lichens, while lower down, the landscape merges — water, land, and sky blending as one.
