Langamull Barnacle Bottle Vase

Black stoneware wheel-thrown vase with individually modelled barnacles in white slip. 

Helen Thornley makes stonewear and raku ceramics in her studio in the Lake Dristrict. 
She's a regular visitor to the Isle of Mull and Calgary.

Helen's inspiration for her barnacle collection came from barnacles on the black basalt rocks at Langamull beach, just along the coast from Calgary.
