Hand-carved by Matthew Reade in his workshop at Calgary on the Isle of Mull, just across the road from the Gallery. This sculpture is made from local ash and was shaped with a chainsaw and chisels, before being finished through a process of burning and layering colour. It forms part of the LUNGA exhibition collection, a group show inspired by the natural forms and traces of human presence found on this incredible island, one of the Treshnish Isles.
